Professional Experience

Production Manager - PJSA Peace Chronicle

In 2019, I was brought on as the Editorial Intern for the Peace Chronicle, the PJSA's quarterly magazine. Since then I have filled a number of roles on the editorial staff including copyediting, content management, ad sales, revenue tracking, print design, and any other support function the Editor in Chief or Guest Editor(s) have required. As Production Manager, I design and assemble each magazine issue for both print and digital release.  Examples of my finished print products are located in the "Portfolio" tab of this site.

Outreach Liaison - State Senate Campaign

In the summer of 2020, I served on the campaign staff for a State Senate candidate.  My duties included coordinating with local officials to plan campaign events that were safe, compliant with COVID-19 restrictions, and still attractive and enjoyable.  I also assisted with community outreach efforts and volunteer organizing.

Seamstress - Great Eastern Trading Co.

At Great Eastern, I have honed my existing skills as a home-seamstress to include restoration of vintage garments from various periods. On a case-by-case basis, this may mean updating a piece to help it stand up to regular use, or restoring as nearly as possible its original form. I have also become familiar with the histories, repair and maintenance of other categories of antiques, especially print periodicals.

Volunteer Experience

On-Call Advocate - Women Helping Women (SW Ohio)

To qualify, I underwent 32 hours’ intensive training on survivor advocacy, Ohio's sexual assault and domestic violence laws, and local resources.

This training allowed me to work directly with survivors seeking treatment at local Emergency Rooms. In that capacity, I provided emotional support to survivors, facilitated interaction with medical personnel and law enforcement, assessed domestic violence situations to coordinate with social services, provided non-legal guidance to help with navigating the system and accessing appropriate resources, and submitted summary reports to WHW to ensure continued support would be available to the survivors I served.
